I don't see in black and white. And soil preservation and hands-on gardening is one of the most uplifting activities anyone can have. I share food from our garden with people of all hues, and they share their home grown food with me. Black, brown, yellow, red, and all mixtures thereof is where I find myself grounded and at peace.

We must stop being knee-jerk scared. Wary of angry people and those who are afraid of me-- yes. But not scared of humanity. Humans are wonderful-- and they can become friends, in or out of the garden.
